A few years ago Tudor and Breitling got together to discuss the possibility of a collaboration. That meeting has now culminated in a new chronograph calibre, the MT5813, which features a base movement from Breitling.

But Tudor has made it its own, bolstering the calibre with column wheel, vertical clutch, regulating organ and finishes developed entirely inhouse. With 70 hours of power reserve, it has also received the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) certification for precision and reliability.

Incidentally, MT5813 is the first Tudor automatic chronograph, marking yet another milestone for the Swiss brand that began with its first chronograph watch, the Prince Oysterdate Chronograph in 1970. And it powers the Heritage Black Bay, the dive collection’s first chronograph timepiece.

All this makes the Heritage Black Bay Chrono highly covetable.
