The outlook for Sungai Petani and Alor Setar property market this year is not expected to be any better than the relatively subdued market last year.

Henry Butcher Malaysia (Kedah) Sdn Bhd director Mah Beng Fong says transactions in real estate in the two Kedah towns will definitely experience a drop in both value and volume this year.

“I am of the opinion that it will not be better than last year. If it can be at par, it will be a good sign for 2018,” he tells FocusM.

CBRE-WTW Alor Setar director Ainuddin Jalaini Ismail agrees the property market in Kedah is not doing any better than last year when it remained subdued.
