The Maxus G10 SE looks set to blaze even more trails than its predecessor

Weststar Maxus has officially unveiled the new Maxus G10 SE variant, an upgrade of the Maxus G10 introduced in Malaysia last year. And the enhancements for the 10-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) are plenty.

There is a double panoramic glass roof for quick glimpses of the changing weather or even stargazing on night rides. The powered sliding doors come with an anti-squeeze technology for added safety and peace of mind with regards to tiny wandering fingers. In addition, you will love the upgraded Car-Link infotainment system, which has a 360-degree camera system.

But the on-board infotainment system has to be the most noticeable upgrade for the G10. Easy to view, the 15-inch touchscreen is also able to quickly split into a more moderately sized touchscreen and a smaller screen for the MPV’s digital clock.

Comfortable as ever, the seating arrangement remains unchanged in a 2-3-2-3 layout. However, the seats have been upholstered in classic black and brown leather with a cool design. The exterior of the MPV remains the same as the standard G10, accessorised with HID Xenon headlights, LED taillights, and stylish chrome door handles.

A look under the hood reveals the powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine, paired with a ZF 6-speed automated manual gearbox for smooth power output and swifter response to gear shifting. The turbocharged GDI engine offers an output of 225 hp at 5,500 rpm and 345 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
