From furnishing royal palaces to some of Malaysia’s swankiest hotels like the St Regis Hotel in KL Sentral and the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur, Federal International Holdings Bhd (FIHB) has carved out a strong reputation for undertaking high-end furniture projects.

It also manufactures the furniture for the Starbucks coffee chain throughout Malaysia, the Asia Pacific and in India.

However, a new name and a shift in focus has made 2018 a year of change for the 50-year old premium furniture maker. Earlier this year, Federal Furniture Holdings (M) Bhd became FIHB.

FIHB managing director Datuk Choy Wai Hin says the name change paves the way for the company to move in a new direction; construction, while the word ‘international’ underlines its goal of expanding beyond Malaysia’s borders.
