Prestariang Bhd potentially has to grapple with funding issues despite signing agreements to undertake projects as part of its strategy to diversify earnings.
It needs to fork out substantial sums to roll out the projects as they will start contributing only several years later.
Last month, the ICT training and certification service provider signed a heads of agreement with Thales Communications & Security SAS and Thales Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which identified the French group as the main technology partner for the proposed Sistem Kawalan Imigresen Nasional (SKIN).
SKIN is an integrated technology platform to transform the core applications and infrastructure of the national immigration system. The platform consists of five main modules – passport, visa, border control, enforcement and risk assessment.
