Off-market trades draw interest

The Aug 25-30 period saw several large blocks of shares traded off-market.

The top five off-market trades based on total shares outstanding were:

Naim Indah Corp Bhd (Nicorp) at 4.7% with 41.19 million shares traded at six sen apiece;
Acme Holdings Bhd at 4.24% with 8.9 million shares traded at 34 sen;
Karyon Industries Bhd at 2.52% with 12 million shares traded at 25 sen;
Yong Tai Bhd at 2.28% with 9.94 million shares traded at RM1.43, and
BIMB Holdings Bhd at 1.84% with 30.2 million shares traded at RM4.40 and RM4.41.

The total value transacted for the top five off-market trades is RM155.72 mil.

Other large off-market trades involved Lay Hong Bhd at 1.82% (with 11.1 million shares); MUI Properties Bhd at 1.38% (with 10.2 million shares); Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd at 0.94% (with 35 million shares) and CIMB Group Holdings Bhd at 0.11% (with 10 million shares).
