Khairil Abdullah believes that MIFE will help business to scale up.

Axiata Group Bhd’s digital services arm, Axiata Digital Services Sdn Bhd, will be extending its Application Programming Interface (API) to more businesses, particularly to start-ups and SMEs in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC).

The API platform, called Mobile Internet Fulfilment Exchange (MIFE), will act as a gateway for the businesses to tap into the regional market as Axiata is currently present in nine countries in Asia.

According to Axiata Digital CEO Mohd Khairil Abdullah: “We’ve been looking for someone with the resource and mandate to reach out to the start-up ecosystem. It became very clear that MDEC is the right match.”

“We look forward to Malaysian digital start-up companies to plug into our API platform to scale and grow their businesses not only within Malaysia but also across the other Axiata markets. Furthermore, there are additional features on MIFE that protects both customers and business with the highest level of security.”

MIFE enables companies to have faster customer engagement and secure payment processes with the plug and play interface.
