Motorists travelling on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) to Bandar Puteri in Puchong are advised to choose alternative routes following the closure of the Bandar Puteri Puchong interchange.

Stage two of the RM20 mil project involves sealing off access to the existing ramp from the LDP to Bandar Puteri, the existing junction into LDP from Jalan TPP 1/1 and the U-turn underneath the interchange.

IOI Properties Group Bhd, which is undertaking the expansion and upgrading works, released a statement announcing the temporary closure from Sept 23 until the end of next year.

During this period, motorists travelling from Putrajaya to Bandar Puteri Puchong can either exit the LDP at the Puchong Perdana traffic light junction or make a U-turn in front of Tesco Puchong.

Those going into the township from Shah Alam, Putra Heights and USJ can take the Puchong Intan interchange or U-turn at Tesco Puchong.

Traffic getting onto the LDP from Taman Perindustrian Puchong can use the new alternative road alongside the Light Rail Transit (LRT) track.

“We hope our Bandar Puteri Puchong road users will bear with us during the works as they are to enhance the infrastructure and traffic flow in the area,” says IOI Properties chief operating officer (property development) Teh Chin Guan.

He hopes that the first stage of upgrading works completed in April has eased traffic congestion and benefited road users.

Bandar Puteri Puchong is a 405ha township with an estimated population of 11,500 and a thriving business hub of some 600 shop-offices, four blocks of office towers and the Four Points by Sheraton Puchong.
