The Evolution Of Oasis Damansara

More highly anticipated developments are in the pipeline.

With construction well underway, Oasis Damansara, which is being developed in stages to form a linear development along Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang in Petaling Jaya will be the single largest self-contained development and the fastest-growing hot spot in Greater Kuala Lumpur.

The master plan of Oasis Damansara is developed by Sime Darby Brunsfield – a joint venture between  Sime Darby Property and Brunsfield International Group – and has greatly transformed the look and prospects of the area. Oasis Damansara provides a much-needed commercial feature to Ara Damansara, which is primarily a residential area.

With this master development, Sime Darby Brunsfield continues to cultivate its interest in Ara Damansara where it has the distinction of being a pioneer developer.

Within Oasis Damansara, Oasis Square, a mixed development consisting of residential, commercial and retail elements, was launched in 2012 and has successfully attracted a healthy footfall to the area. Along with Oasis Gallery and Sime Darby Plantation’s Headquarters, Oasis Square was among the first parcels to be completed in the 100-acre development.

Visitors have been attracted to the lifestyle dining centre within Oasis Square, called Oasis Piazza, which comprises 14 multi-themed outlets in an al-fresco boulevardsurrounded by a central water feature.

The water feature has proved to be the highlight of Oasis Square, lighting up in the evening with submerged halogen lights and presenting a water display of geyser jets shooting five metres into the air.

Agave plants interspersing the pool further reflect the theme of the development, “Oasis”, and lends a calming atmosphere that is appreciated by the al fresco diners.

A shopping centre, called Oasis Village, has also opened up in Oasis Square, featuring an alfresco boulevard, premium restaurants, retail shops, cafes and beauty salons. Oasis Village is also a venue for the arts and hosts the Oasis Community Carnival, where performances and activities take place on the first weekend of every month in celebration of urban culture.

The next component in Oasis Damansara that is scheduled for full completion is Oasis Corporate Park, which sits on 10 acres of freehold commercial land. This fully integrated business hub is aimed at fulfilling the lifestyle and business needs of a wide range of tenants, including multinationals, business owners, professionals and residents.

The area features a one-acre garden and landscaped greenery, while a water feature is positioned at the centre of the commercial hub. Oasis Corporate Park has ample space for parking with 2,500 bays provided throughout the development.

Oasis Corporate Park includes lifestyle office suites, Centum, which is fully completed. Owners will have access to facilities such as parking, a gymnasium, sauna, café and cantilevered indoor jacuzzi.

Medalla is a low density development consisting of only 198 serviced suites with configurations of 3 and 4+1 bedrooms. These units come with the option of being fully furnished with sizes of up to 5,245 sq.ft. (inclusive of the roof garden). Residents will have access to a comprehensive range of facilities such as a landscaped garden, swimming and wading pools, children’s playground, gazebo, jogging track and a private residents’ lounge. They will also be within walking distance to a wide range of F&B options that are part of a fully integrated development. The penthouse comes with its very own private roof garden, a luxury reserved only for a few discerning owners of this exclusive residence.

Meritus comprises two 11-storey towers of 43 commercial units with built-ups ranging from 5,636 to 10,866 sq ft. The towers will be connected via a grand double-volume lobby entrance. The units will all be fibre optics infrastructure-ready while safety features have been installed such as 24-hour manned security, card access and CCTV.

Centro, the retail lifestyle centre, is soon to be completed and when ready will cater for an existingcatchment population of 70,000. The centre is being constructed right at the heart of the commercial hub, and will comprise four storeys of retail units with roof gardens, covering a gross area of 148,000 sq ft. The design caters for vibrant shop units and is suitable for alfresco-centric businesses and retail operations.

Once fully completed, Oasis Corporate Park will prove to be a major destination in the Oasis Damansara and bring yet more footfall to the existing commercial and retail outlets.

Upcoming launches: Oasis AutoNexus and Oasis Rio

The other attractions currently undergoing construction includes Oasis AutoNexus, a Sime Darby Motor premium showroom, which is currently 90% completed and when revealed will be the largest automobile showroom in Malaysia spanning 2 million sq.ft. Oasis AutoNexus will also serve as a one-stop auto centre that provides car-related services such as a body and paint shop, vehicle yards, a multipurpose hall and management offices.

In the near pipeline is Oasis Rio, urban suites that are scheduled to be launched next. The serviced residence component of Oasis Rio comprises of two low density residential towers with 367 urban suites above a retail podium. This linear Transit Oriented Development is located only 200m from the new Ara Damansara LRT station. The units come in sizes of 603 to 904 sq. ft. with options to convert to dual key units for selected layouts. Oasis Rio is ideal for the contemporary urban family and young professionals.
