Schneider takes bold step towards IIoT

France-based Schneider Electric is moving forward its manufacturing facilities through a digital transformation strategy.

The company has global presence in over 100 countries, providing various power management solutions and automation systems. Some of the company’s prducts are programmable logic controller, motor starters, drives, circuit breakers, switches, sockets, lighting, transformers, and substations.

The company’s plant in Batam, Indonesia, is undergoing a transformation via prudent energy management and automation. Schneider Electric Manufacturing has, thus far, witnessed a reduction in 17% manhours spent on maintenance and 46% waste material, thereby improving the smart factory’s efficiency.
