Treating heart diseases using AI

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death among Malaysians and this incidence is expected to multiply in the near future.

As such, global medical technology company Edwards Lifesciences Corp is leveraging on data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning to help doctors better identify intervention for heart diseases.

“We can assist hospitals by helping doctors visualise patients' arteries and spare them invasive tests and thus improve patient outcomes and identify better intervention for heart diseases,” Edwards director, organisational effectiveness Eric Ramp tells FocusM.
