No postal service layoffs, says POS

Pos Malaysia Bhd has denied talk of laying off mailmen as part of its turnaround plan.

Instead, the postal delivery service provider will focus on pushing for a postal tariff “re- balancing” strategy. This will likely include a rate hike, despite being dragged by lower mail volume.

“No, there will be no layoffs. Instead we are looking at tariff re-balancing efforts to uplift the mail segment,” a company spokesperson tells FocusM.
