Revolutionising IBS for high-end projects

The Industrialised Building System (IBS) has every potential to become a disruptive force in the property development sector in the same manner that fintech (financial technology) is doing to the banking sector.

Singapore’s skyline has benefitted tremendously from across the causeway, with IBS precast factories flourishing in Senai, Johor, to feed the former’s appetite for a clean, safe, cost-competitive and reliable construction method to realise the public housing schemes under its Housing & Development Board.

However, the fact that IBS is often associated with voluminous construction of purpose-built affordable housing has somehow overshadowed its true potential.
