Parlo launches online platform marketplace

Parlo Tours Sdn Bhd, the main operating subsidiary of Parlo Berhad (“Parlo” or the “Company”), a leading travel management and services group in Malaysia, has launched an online platform marketplace named T-Broker that eases the travel agents in selling the Company’s product.

The business-to-business (“B2B”) platform is an integrated distribution channel initiative of Parlo Berhad opened to all existing and new tour agents interested in carrying Parlo’s products.

T-Broker Marketplace also reassures a wider outreach to the tourism market as it offers offline to online (“O2O”) services allowing agents to see inventories live, easing the process of taking inventories off the company.

The Chief Executive Officer of Parlo, Mr. Dani Yap said that agents can access the T-Broker Marketplace on a round-the-clock basis to check on tour packages, special deals or travel services offered by the company and its travel partners. “With T-Broker Marketplace, we can extend our types of offerings to all agents such as travel insurance, FIT packages components and etc. This B2B platform will make it faster compared to the old way of calling up the office and then having to check manually. There are also better deals that can be found on the platform and agents can serve their clients more efficiently,” he said.

T-Broker Marketplace will give the Company a wider distribution network and the new platform will reinforce Parlo as the market leader in the travel and tourism industry as its volume will increase due to faster and more efficient processing time for clients.

“We are internally targeting for at least 10% growth from distribution networks through T-Broker Marketplace because agents will be attracted to this new service as they can efficiently serve more and therefore make more money,” he said.

T-Broker Marketplace serves as an additional avenue to reach out to more businesses, on top of the Company’s existing avenues.

Parlo mainly derives revenue from group inclusive tours, while other products and services it offers include affordable group tours, free independent travellers/tourists’ services, and retail ticketing. The Company also offers corporate travel products and services, mainly MICE and corporate ticketing.

Parlo Tours, which was founded in 1975, has clinched multiple industry awards for its services. It recently clinched the top sales award from Taiwan’s national carrier, China Airlines and won the “Top Agency Award Year 2018/2019” from Singapore Airlines.
