Tealive wins silver Dragons of Malaysia award

Fresh from its win at the Best Employer Brands 2018-2019 recently, Loob Holding Sdn Bhd has now won at the prestigious Dragons of Asia & Malaysia 2019 when it bagged the silver in recognition of its outstanding creative excellence, successful strategies and precise execution.

The company’s ‘Tealive Breakthrough Moments’ campaign won the silver in the category of “Best Event or Experiential Marketing Campaign”.

Loob Holding founder and CEO, Bryan Loo and team received the award at an elaborate dinner attended by marketing professionals from Malaysia and the region held at the Tournament Player Club (TPC) Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Tealive, Malaysia’s home-grown brand that is making inroads into Asia-Pacific and Europe, won for its ‘always more-than-tea’ capabilities and how it showcased relevant brand-building milestones.

The submitted award entry ‘Tealive Breakthrough Moments’ campaign in March 2019 included a huge tea party that included uniquely-created drinks, a giant bubble pit and various on-ground experiences in Mid Valley. The 5-day experience culminated in a national breakthrough dance competition that enthralled the crowd. The campaign was further amplified through Public Relations (PR), radio, social media, in-store and out-of-home presence.

Recalling the event itself, Loo said: ”The five-day celebration was indeed an epic breakthrough for Tealive as we saw our social media following increasing by more than 10%, RM850,000 worth of coverage in PR value, and 15,000 cups of unique drinks sold on site.”

Loo dedicated the win to his team whom he called “Loobies”. “All the Loobies and I are both ecstatic and humbled by this recognition from marketing professionals in Malaysia and Asia,” he added.

“Indeed, it is a great honour that we achieved this at this stage of our brand journey. It serves as an inspiration and motivation for all Loobies to strive to be better and to outdo ourselves. We will continue to inspire and to be inspired,” he quipped.

Dragons of Asia & Malaysia 2019 is awarded to the best marketing work executed throughout Asia & Malaysia. It is judged by 4 different judges in the international Dragons of Asia Judging Panel. This award reaffirms Loob Holding as an industry leader.

Bryan Loo was also conferred the Paul Harris Fellow Award by the Rotary Club of Ara Damansara in August.
