A CLIP of an enraged ‘couple’ destroying a car when it was to be towed away due to unpaid car loan instalments has gone viral.
The video was shared on X by UpdateInfo (@update11111) who claimed there were eight months arrears on the loan. In the brief clip, a woman and a man can be seen badly damaging the vehicle by smashing bricks onto the vehicle’s windscreen and other parts.
Khabarnya kes 8 bulan tak bayar installment, dirosakkannya kereta tu sebelum kena tarik.

Many netizens could not hide their amazement at the perpetrators’ actions, citing that they will ultimately be held responsible for the damages.
One wanted to know what sort of excuses the lady in the video would use when hauled before a judge to explain her actions.
One netizen asked why to take it out on the car that did nothing wrong?
It was also claimed by a commenter that this incident involved “sambung bayar” whereby a person takes over the payment of the loan from the vehicle’s registered owner.
It was also correctly pointed out that the debt recovery crew are not at all concerned as to the condition of the vehicle. They will get paid as long as the said car is “recovered” whilst the persons destroying the car will be held liable for damages.
One quoted the tow truck operator in the video who coolly informed the destructive duo that however much damage they want to inflict on the car, the debt remains payable. As he rightly pointed out, the more damage they inflicted, the greater the sum payable.
Of course, someone had to make references to race by labelling banks and credit companies as “communist owned”, with allusions to heavy-handed tactics being used to recover debts.
Whoever owns the banks or credit companies, be rest assured that race has got nothing to do with it. In the cold, hard world of debt recovery, it’s pay up or ship out regardless of pigmentation.
FocusM would like to advise to, firstly, absolutely avoid “taking over” loan of a car registered to another person. Secondly, budget accordingly and live within your means to avoid unwanted visits from debt recovery crews.
Last but not least, do not let the heart rule the head. However angry, upset and disconcerted one is over his or her circumstances, lashing out in rage does more harm than good.
No matter what the background story is on this show of wanton destruction, it can be assured that the couple in the clip will have to bear responsibility for the damages. – Oct 23, 2024
