Immersive and interactive

After the massive success of Dinner In The Sky, Plane In The City and Le Petit Chef, event organiser TwoSpicy Entertainment has launched its newest creation. Called  Whimsy, it is an immersive and interactive fine dining experience that defies reality. Does it live up to its moniker? Yes it does, though this writer wishes that the dining experience didn’t feel so rushed.

The five-course dining experience runs for 90 minutes and sits only 10 people at one time to maintain exclusivity. Using state-of-the-art 360° projection technology known as projection mapping, diners are “transported” into various worlds and dimensions, treating all their senses and providing them an interactive experience like no other.

Diners “travel” through space, underwater (my favourite!), the jungle and even a carnival, performing mini tasks along the way, making them part of the Whimsy Universe.

For food lovers, they’d be pleased to know that the exquisite fine dining menu is curated by American-Japanese Chef Jeff Ramsey, who was awarded youngest Michelin starred chef in Japan and is now heading a team in Elements, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most talked about eateries this year.

This dining experience – located at Skyland Kuala Lumpur – is priced at RM299 per person (Gold Journey), and RM499 per person (Platinum Journey), including a five-course dinner. There are two sessions on weekdays and three sessions on weekends.
