How important is social media to you?

I believe in today’s society, everyone – regardless of their age or schedule – will check out social media from the time they wake up till their bedtime.

What message do you hope to convey to your followers?

Have a positive mind set and good vibes throughout the day, no matter what obstacles they face.

What is your fitness regimen like?

Personally, I have two favourite sports which is football and also badminton. When the weather doesn’t permit me to play football, I can at least play badminton indoors. I cannot live without having a good sports-oriented day. No matter how busy my schedule, I hit the gym every day, to ensure that my body looks good. I want to be a role model to aspiring models.

Does being fit make you feel sexy?

Of course, but for me, keeping fit is more about staying healthy! I have posted a lot about my gym workout on social media and the main reason is to inspire people to exercise and be healthy at all times. Also, I believe you are what you eat.

What do you like about the Charles Jourdan watch?

The first time when I came across this timepiece, I was totally in love with it! The watch fits my image, which is a gentleman with elegance.

What is your advice to those who want to follow in your footsteps?

Know what you really want in life. If you are in a career you’re passionate about, you will never get tired of what you’re doing. Never stop working for your dreams and be sincere. And never let anyone tell you that you are not good enough!

He made history as the first Malaysian to successfully complete the Swiss Ultra Deca Triathlon. Lau was one of 10 participants attempting the Deca Triathlon, in which the participants completed 10 back-to-back Ironman triathlons in August in Buchs, Switzerland

How important is social media to you?

Social media is important to me because it is like an ‘e-news paper’ where I can get current trends and know my friends’ latest status. Personally, I don’t think of myself as a KOL because I use social media like my diary. It’s more of a platform where I post my work and daily life stuff.

What message do you hope to convey to your followers?

The message I wish is: Social media is not only media. The important things is to interact, share, engage and build relationships with one another other.

What is your fitness regimen like?

My favourite sport is anything do with cardio. My fitness regimen is to eat well and rest well.

Does being fit make you feel sexy?

Yes, I think being fit is sexy. Sporty people usually have a better self- discipline, clearer mind set and healthier lifestyle. All these are sexy for me.

What do you like about the Charles Jourdan watch?

I like it because the design is simple and elegant.

What is your advice to those who want to follow in your footsteps?

Do what you really love. Stay passionate and focused and don’t give up easily.

How important is social media to you?

Through social media, you get to build your brand and connect with people easily. I have different segment of followers: those who like my fashion sense, those who have followed me since my bowling days and now, listeners of my programme on radio.

What message do you hope to convey to your followers?

Sometimes when I meet someone, he or she is so different from how they portray themselves on social media. I try to be as real as I can, so my followers know that it’s not a different persona I’ve created. In fact, I have no qualms about showing not-so-good days such as having a pimple breakout. I encourage people to be true to themselves.

What is your fitness regimen like?

Apart from bowling, I like diving and swimming. I go to the gym five times a week and do a combination of running and weights to tone up my body.

Does being fit make you feel sexy?

Previously I was a little chubby and insecure. Having a nicer body and leading a healthier lifestyle definitely boosted my confidence.

What do you like about the Charles Jourdan watch?

My fashion sense is classic and sleek, so it fits my style perfectly.

What is your advice to those who want to follow in your footsteps?

Be true to yourself. If people like you, they’ll like you for who you are.
