ARB Bhd has signed a business partnership as well as an outsourcing deal with Singapore-based Asterisk Computer (Far East) Pte Ltd for the deployment of the enterprise application software (EAS) solutions in Malaysia and across the Causeway.
The IT solutions group in a bourse filing said that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Databook Pte Ltd had to explore and undertake business opportunities in the area of EAS solutions and related IT consultancy services.
Under the outsourcing agreement, Asterisk would engage Databook to design, development and implement EAS solutions and provide enterprise solutions to Asterisk on a project basis, ARB said.
Databook will be the sole and exclusive owner of the whole development of the solutions and shall be responsible for the implementation of its business applications for Asterisk Computer.
According to ARB, Asterisk had been providing IT solutions across a wide spectrum of sectors, from manufacturing to oil and gas.
ARB shares traded 5.88% higher at 36 sen after the midday break on June 3. – June 3, 2020
