KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd ushered in the New Year by winning the Al-Mansor Excellence Award in Islamic Financial Services at the Islamic Excellence Awards 1441H/2020.
“The award recognises Bank Islam’s outstanding performance and contribution in the field of Islamic banking and finance in the country, compatible with the global landscape,” its CEO Mohd Muazzam Mohamed said in a statement today (Jan 9).
Mohd Muazzam received the award from the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at the Islamic Excellence Awards 1441H/2020AD Appreciation Night on Jan 8.
He said winning the Al-Mansor Excellence Award signifies a good start for Bank Islam in 2020 and would motivate the group to work harder to achieve greater heights.
“Since our inception in 1983, Bank Islam has grown from strength-to-strength as Malaysia’s first Islamic bank.
