Clusters rising in Johor, Selangor still has highest COVID-19 cases

THE Health Ministry reported five new clusters detected in Johor, which are the Perindustrian Fasa Dua, Jalan Perindustrian Estate, DBP Tiga, Jalan Tebrau Dua and Jalan Sri Putri.

There is now a total of 122 active clusters in Johor, making the number of new cases in the state closing in on Selangor as the biggest contributor.

Out of the total 2,936 new COVID-19 positive cases in the country today, Johor reached 730 while Selangor remains the highest at 978.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that there were 13 deaths today, bringing the total to 1,043.

A large number of 4,889 patients recovered today, adding to the country’s total count of 239,971 recoveries.

There are currently 36,797 active COVID-19 cases nationwide, of which 220 are under intensive care, with 104 on ventilator support – Feb 19, 2021
