KUALA LUMPUR: Hartalega Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned unit, Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd, is buying 38.49ha in Kuala Langat, Selangor, for RM263.1 mil from Bonus Essential Sdn Bhd to expand its capacity to meet the rising global demand for gloves.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Hartalega said the freehold land is in Mukim Tanjong Dua Belas, and the deal is expected to be completed by the second half of 2022.
Hartalega described the land as strategically located near its existing Next Generation Integrated Glove Manufacturing Complex (NGC) in Sepang, whose expansion is scheduled for completion in 2021.
“The site is in close proximity to the West Coast Expressway interchange in Banting, surrounded by nearby rapid industrial and housing developments,” it added. – March 25, 2020, Bernama
