Inter-Pacific Asset Management appoints Nazri Khan as new head

KUALA LUMPUR: Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd (IPAM), a subsidiary of Berjaya Corporation Bhd (BCorp), has appointed renowned financial economist Datuk Dr Nazri Khan Adam Khan as its new head.

BCorp founder and executive chairman Tan Sri Vincent Tan expressed confidence that Nazri Khan would be able to substantially increase the number of investors, particularly from the Muslim community, to IPAM and diversify its current investor base, as well as introduce new fund products to the market.

Describing Nazri Khan as a prominent figure and a notable economist among investors. Tan said he was impressed with his success in managing a sizeable fund which has achieved an impressive return on investment of 17% within five months.

Nazri Khan is the former senior vice president (investment) of fund management company Phillip Capital Management and former chief investment officer of private equity specialist Widuri Capital Sdn Bhd.

Prior to that, he was the head of retail research in Affin Hwang Investment Bank.

IPAM was incorporated in Malaysia on Sept 24, 1990, and is a licensed fund management company.  – Bernama
