Jom Digital II webinar draws about 1,000 participants

THE recently held Jom Digital II (Southern Region) webinar had attracted close to 1,000 entrepreneurs, traders and hawkers from Johor as well as from other states.

The webinar was organised by the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) (Southern Region), together with the Productivity Retail, Food and Beverage Nexus and in collaboration with the Perbadanan Usahawan Johor Sdn Bhd.

Held from May 13-21, the webinar aimed to share information on existing sharing economy platforms in Malaysia, and to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to use the platform to boost their business operations, MPC Southern Region director Roziana Othman said in a statement today.

She said the programme had also helped SMEs to use digital platforms in their daily business operations and promoted business matching between sharing economy platform providers with retail and food and beverage entrepreneurs.

MPC said the webinar also included sharing sessions by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, Shopee, MyBump, ZeptoExpress, Avana, MyCar, PayNet and Boost on existing digital marketing platforms, highlighting business collaboration opportunities for entrepreneurs, traders and hawkers. – May 22, 2020, Bernama
