PHEW! Water supply in Petaling and Kuala Lumpur regions have fully recovered following the broken pipe incident due to landslide in Damansara Utama.

Such is one welcome news indeed from Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) for Klang Valley folks to usher in 2021 with some ‘wet’ joy after a tumultuous 2020.

“All areas in the Petaling Region that were affected by the unscheduled water supply disruption following the broken pipes incident in Damansara Utama due to landslides have fully received their water supply as of 5.15pm today,” read the media statement by Air Selangor’s corporate communications head Elina Baseri.

“Meanwhile, the water supply at the affected areas in the Kuala Lumpur Region have fully recovered as at 9am today.”

On this note, Air Selangor advised consumers who have received water supply to let water from the tap to flow until it is clear before daily use.

The sole licensee responsible for treatment and distribution of water in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Air Selangor also thanked consumers for their patience and cooperation during this unscheduled water supply disruption.

“Air Selangor seeks the cooperation of consumers to report any incident of leaking or broken pipes in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to ensure that remedial action can be taken immediately,” it further noted.

“Consumers are advised to obtain official information on water supply disruptions through all Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the website www.airselangor.com.”
