MBSA follows SOP in conducting disinfection operation

THE five-day integrated disinfection operation carried out by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) which begins today has received advice and guidance from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Shah Alam deputy mayor Mohd Rashidi Ruslan said the advice and guidance were provided by Petaling District Health Office (PKD) officials during a meeting held earlier.

“We have received advice from the MOH in terms of the standard operating procedure and guidelines to carry out the operation in order to achieve the best outcome,” he said when met by reporters at Section 6 today.

On today’s operation, Mohd Rashidi said it involved 122 personnel from MBSA, the Royal Malaysia Police, Alam Flora and the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.

He said the operation started at the Section 6 wet market followed by other areas administered by the MBSA. — April 6, 2020, Bernama
