SALES operations will continue as normal, but after-sales services are interrupted for the time being due to a fire at its Petaling Jaya office on Aug 5, according to Pensonic Holdings Bhd.
The fire occurred at night, at the office cum service centre of Pensonic’s subsidiary, Pensonic Sales & Service Sdn Bhd.
“Sales operations are able to continue as usual, but the after-sales service will be interrupted for the time being as the service centre and spare parts storage are affected,” said Pensonic in a bourse filing.
The Pensonic board of directors is unable to ascertain the cause of the fire or estimate the full impact and consequences of the incident as of the filing, dated Aug 6.
However, the board confirmed that nobody was hurt, nor were there any known uncontrolled emissions. Pensonic is also working with the insurance adjuster on the matter.
At 4.32 pm, Pensonic’s shares were at 30 sen, up a sen, with 861,000 shares traded. – Aug 6, 2020
