KUALA LUMPUR: Short-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM21.58 bil in the conventional system and RM19.35 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tender worth RM1 bil each for seven days and 14 days, respectively.
It will also conduct one Islamic range maturity auction (iRMA) Qard tender worth RM1.6 bil for seven to 29 days as well as two reverse repo tender worth RM940 mil for seven days and a RM400 mil for 29 days.
At 4pm, the BNM will conduct up to RM20.9 bil for conventional overnight tender and RM17.8 bil for Murabahah overnight tender. – Feb 27, 2020, Bernama
