SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM36.07 bil in the conventional system and RM22.42 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tenders comprising of RM3 billion each for seven days and 14 days respectively, two Qard tenders of RM3.4 billion for seven days and RM600 mil for 14 days.
BNM will also conduct three reverse repo tenders comprising of RM1 bil for 31 days, RM1 billion for 61 days and RM3 bil for 94 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM33.1 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM18.5 bil for a Murabahah overnight tender.
