SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM47.07 bil in the conventional system and RM26.26 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct an RM8 bil conventional money market tender for seven days and an RM3.7 bil Qard tender for seven days.
It will also be conducting two reverse repo tenders of RM1 bil each for 33 days, and 63 days, respectively.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM41.1 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM22.6 bil for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 25, 2020, Bernama
