KUALA LUMPUR: Short-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM23.50 bil in the conventional system and RM14.22 bil in Islamic funds.
It will also conduct one Islamic range maturity auction (iRMA) Qard tender worth RM3.60 bil for seven to 21 days, one commodity murabahah programme (CMP) worth RM500 mil for 31 days and one Bank Negara Interbank Bills worth RM500 mil for 29 days.
At 4pm, the BNM will conduct up to RM22.5 bil for conventional overnight tender and RM10.2 bil for Murabahah overnight tender. – Feb 21, 2020, Bernama
