Bursa Malaysia ends lower on profit-taking

BURSA Malaysia ended lower today but managed to recoup some of its earlier losses, amid mixed sentiment on regional bourses, supported by mild buying in selected plantation counters, dealers said.

At the close, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped 5.40 points to 1,604.75 after moving between 1,595.09 and 1,611.58 throughout the day.

On the broader market, losers thumped gainers 731 to 473, while 456 counters were unchanged, 504 untraded and 18 others suspended.

Total volume decreased to 14.41 billion units worth RM5.09 bil from 16.40 billion units worth RM7.96 bil recorded yesterday.-Nov 18, 2020.
