COVID-19: 660 new cases, four deaths

THE Health Ministry today reported 660 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths as of 12pm today.

In a press conference today, the ministry’s director general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that 630 patients have recovered from the coronavirus as well.

“For now, the total cases of COVID-19 in the country is 50,390. The total recovery cases now stand at 37,254.

“With four deaths recorded today, the total number of those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 is now at 322,” he added.

On related matter, Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob hinted that the conditional movement control order (CMCO) in several states could be lifted by Friday.

However, he did not explicitly mention which states.

“The health ministry is studying the number of cases and infection rate. Once the findings are presented and we feel those states are safer, then maybe the CMCO there will be revoked.

“However, it still depends on the health ministry’s risk assessment. God-willing, on Friday’s press conference, I will announce it,” he said at a press conference earlier today.- Nov 18, 2020.
