COVID-19: Death tally at 1,700, infection rate still alarming

AS COVID-19 rages on, Malaysia recorded 3,807 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 444,484.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 3,454 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 405,388.

“Seventeen people have died today, bringing the death tally to 1,700,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases again (1,149), followed by Sarawak (649), Kelantan (329) and Kuala Lumpur (320).

“Of the current active cases, 434 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 224 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – May 10, 2021.
