MACC quizzes Warisan deputy president over RM155 mil graft case

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has summoned Warisan deputy president Peter Anthony for questioning this morning.

It is understood that this is over a RM155 mil graft case involving a 2014 Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) land deal.

Peter, who is also Sabah infrastructure development minister, showed up at the MACC office in Kota Kinabalu at 10.22am today.

Peter, who was investigated for the case in 2016 and 2017, was a businessman when the deal was made between Risda and a private company in 2014.

He is also a strong supporter of Warisan founder and Sabah chief minister Shafie Apdal.

Earlier today, former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman has been acquitted of 46 corruption and money-laundering charges in relation to timber concessions in the state. – June 9, 2020
