SIX new faces were among 10 Negri Sembilan state executive councillors (exco) who were sworn in today (Aug 24) by Negri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.
The 10 exco members took their oaths of office that began at 10.15am at Istana Besar Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan.
Also present at the ceremony were Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Besar Mahmud and Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz.
Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said six of the exco members were new faces while four were reappointed.
Jelebu MP Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias (senior exco), Pilah assemblywoman Noorzunita Begum Mohd Ibrahim, Senaling assemblyman Datuk Ismail Lasim, Palong assemblyman Mustapha Nagoor, former Bagan Pinang assemblyman Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, and Ampangan assemblywoman Tengku Zamrah Tengku Sulaiman were among the six new faces in the exco line up.
Bahau assemblyman Teo Kok Seong, Bukit Kepayang assemblywoman Nicole Tan Lee Koon, three-term Nilan assemblyman Arul Kumar Jambunathan and four-term Repah assemblyman Veerapan Superamaniam were among that were re-appointed.
Undang Luak Sungai Ujong Datuk Klana Petra Datuk Mubarak Dohak, Undang Luak Jelebu Datuk Mendika Menteri Akhirulzaman Datuk Maarof Mat Rashad, and Undang Luak Johol Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Setiawan Datuk Muhammed Abdullah were among those in attendance.
Also in attendance were Undang Luak Rembau Datuk Lela Maharaja Datuk Muhamad Sharip Othman and Tunku Besar Tampin Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri.
In the Aug 12 state election, Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional unity coalition won 31 out of the 36 state seats meanwhile Perikatan Nasional (PN) won five.
