Musim durian kini bermula di kawasan Balik Pulau sehingga Ogos dan kemuncaknya pada Jun hingga Julai.
Peminat raja buah ini boleh memperolehinya tidak terhad di Balik Pulau dan Teluk Bahang bahkan ke Juru, Sungai Bakap dan Nibong Tebal.

Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang mahukan pasaran durian yang sinonim dengan Pulau Pinang dipasarkan secara meluas ke peringkat antarabangsa dan menjadi produk pelancongan negeri itu.

Pelancong dari Singapura, China, Thailand, Australia, Eropah dan lain-lain negara pada kebiasaannya tidak melepaskan peluang berkunjung ke sini untuk merasai keenakannya antaranya Musang King, Duri Hitam, Hor Lor dan banyak lagi.
Bagi memudahkan para pelancong, Kerajaan negeri melalui Penang Global Tourism (PGT) melancarkan PG Durian Leaflet untuk pelancong mengetahui lokasi untuk menikmati durian di negeri ini.

Kelhatan pemilik dusun durian membawa durian ke kedai borong durian di Balik Pulau.
