“OUTFIT must be Islamic; don a robe, a turban or a hijab if you can, then use a wheelchair,” teased one X user of the manner Salwani Anuar @ Kamaruddin, the 26-year-old third wife of former Army chief Tan Sri Hafizuddeain Jantan arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court recently to face the charge of ‘abetting’ her husband in a money laundering case.
“Standard Malay MO (modus operandi) whenever their corrupt practice goes to court,” added TuanPremierMasbro BONGKERSZ Garis Merah Bae (@bongkersz).
Outfit kena Islamic kalau boleh berjubah kopiah hijab semua, then pakai wheelchair.

For the record, Salwani pleaded not guilty to four money-laundering charges involving RM77,000 allegedly received through Wany Venture, a company she is said to control. She faces up to 15 years’ jail and a fine of up to RM5 mil if convicted.
Earlier, her husband and his two wives were also detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over an investigation into an army procurement cartel.
In fact, Hafizuddeain, 58, had pleaded not guilty at the KL Sessions Court to four counts of money laundering involving RM2.12 mil. He is accused of receiving the funds in four tranches between Feb 2, 2024, and Nov 7, 2025 at two banks in KL.

Aside from (@bongkersz), fellow X user izzi (@IzzraifHarz) expressed surprise at the 26-year-old Salwani requiring a wheelchair for her court appearance.
“Prior to this, I thought only the old-generation wealthy gang would make court appearance clad in proper Islamic attire, wheelchair-bound and armed with tongkat (walking stick) but this girl is only 26 and yet followed the same aesthetic … So this applies for all ages. IMAOOO.”
sebelum ni aku ingat geng kaya tua ja masuk mahkamah pakai proper islamic attire with some wheelchair and tongkat, but this girl only 26 and still followed the same aesthetic so it’s for all ages lmaooo https://t.co/KA1HCyKoy8

Another X user Ladeez Washarum (@13Mr_Mayhem) jibed Salwani who is accused of receiving unlawful proceeds in four tranches deposited into her company’s bank account: “Just 27. Already on a wheelchair. My late father had a stroke at 50 and could still swim!”
Baru 27. Dah naik wheelchair. Arwah bapak aku stroke umur 50 boleh berenang lagi

As some commenters praised her ex-army chief husband for being able to afford a third wife who is only half his age, one is prospecting “to run a wheelchair business in front of courts at RM10/hour”.
“Wheelchairs are a BASIC accessory to gain the judge’s sympathy and reduce sentences,” quipped another. “Only evil people use wheelchairs … at 27 years old, already excelled at plundering military funds.”

There are also some hilarious reactions by netizens on the Astro Awani report on X with both Salwani and her husband teased on their matrimonial act.

One commenter went on to observe that defence lawyers in most corruption-related cases would almost “auto-recommend” the use of wheelchair for their clients.

At the end of the day, some brilliant commenters mooted the idea of “just throw worms or even snakes at her to test her fitness level”. – Jan 25, 2026
