“Hadi slams DAP as anti-Malay because he doesn’t want Anwar to be PM”

PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang will probably make history in the world as the Islamic leader who made the most number of unsubstantiated allegations – although this was not the “fame” which Malaysia wanted.

What is the reason for Hadi to have such venom and hatred for the DAP? Actually, it has nothing to do with the DAP – Hadi is possessed by his animus against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim becoming Prime Minister (PM) of Malaysia.

In the Kajang Move in 2014 where Anwar and wife Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were thwarted in their plan to become the Mentri Besar of Selangor, Hadi had seen me to solicit DAP support for PAS’ opposition to Anwar as the PM-designate in the general election.

Hadi suggested that Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah should replace Anwar as the then Pakatan Rakyat’s PM-designate.

I disagreed and reminded Hadi of the Pakatan Rakyat’s decision to name Anwar as the PM-designate.

Had I at that time agreed to Hadi’s proposal to replace Anwar with Razaleigh – or better still, suggested that Hadi should be the PM-designate instead – I would today be hailed by Hadi as a great champion of and fighter for Islam instead of being anti-Malay and anti-Islam!

Yes, I am opposed to Hadi as the PM of Malaysia and events have proved me right.

Hadi is now the greatest threat to inter-ethnic, inter-religious, inter-cultural and inter-civilisation dialogue, understanding, tolerance and harmony in the history of Malaysia for he has not only criminally defamed the non-Malays and non-Muslims but he has also criminally defamed the Malays and Muslims.

Police reports

Malaysians whether Malays or non-Malays – Muslims or non-Muslims – want political stability while preserving the right of Parliament to a vote of no confidence in the PM but Hadi wants political turmoil and upheaval.

Malaysians whether Malays or non-Malays – Muslims or non-Muslims – want national unity of the various races, religions and cultures in Malaysia but Hadi wants polarisation and disagreement.

This is why the police reports by two MPs Lim Lip Eng (Kepong) and Syerleena Abdul Rashid (Bukit Bendera) against Hadi for his reckless statements calculated to disturb racial peace and religious tolerance in Malaysia must be taken seriously by the police authorities.

Hadi has signed Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s Malay Proclamation. Does this mean that Dr Mahathir agree with Hadi that non-Muslims and non-Malays were “plunderers” who give and received bribes, and had conned the Malays and Muslims of their rights for over a half a century?

Or that DAP had targeted Malays who were “ignorant about their faith” to amass political power and that DAP “lured” certain Malay figures to become its “puppets”?

Hadi should not allow his animus to Anwar to take him down the path of irresponsible politicking.

Is he prepared to move a motion in the forthcoming Parliament in a week’s time for Malaysia be a role model for the world for inter-ethnic, inter-religious, inter-cultural and inter-civilisation dialogue, understanding, tolerance and harmony? – May 13, 2023
