GPS unhappy with Muda Sarawak for intruding state assembly media room

MUDA Sarawak has been chastised by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Youth for using the state legislative assembly media room to promote its party.

“The state assembly facilities are supposed to be used by members of the assembly and are not a platform to promote one’s party. What Muda did yesterday (May 18) was unhealthy. They were gatecrashing the state assembly (DUN) media room to promote themselves,” said GPS Youth leader Miro Simuh.

According to Miro, they can do whatever they want outside but they shouldn’t use the DUN media room.

He urged other parties to refrain from doing so in the future.

Earlier on Tuesday (May 16), Muda Sarawak delegation visited the state assembly in conjunction with the ongoing state assembly sitting. The Muda members were reportedly guests of a rival party.

During the visit, Muda Sarawak leader Jeffery Ngui introduced some of his party’s leaders to the press and pledged to give Sarawakian youths a voice.

“Muda does not have any representatives in the Sarawak assembly and thus the delegation was at the building yesterday to lobby several state assemblypersons,” said Ngui.

Ngui also noted that their slogan is ‘Muda adalah kita’ and is of the opinion that in every Sarawakian’s heart, they have the Muda spirit in them they want to bring it out.
