KOTA KINABALU: The Lion Group is keen to invest in several sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture and mining in Sabah.
This interest was conveyed by its group executive chairman Tan Sri William Cheng when he paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal here today,
Speaking to reporters later, Cheng said the Lion Group is in the process of identifying areas suitable for a giant freshwater prawn hatchery centre, as well as opportunities in high-value agricultural and other aquaculture products.
He said the estimated value of the investment, which is over RM100 mil, signals the group’s long-term commitment in its foray into the state, following the current government’s leadership and good cooperation with investors besides the speedy approval process. – Feb 10, 2020, Bernama
