Is Zionist paranoia prompting PAS to believe Mossad agents are actively recruiting Malaysians?

AS Israel refuses to heed growing international pressure for a ceasefire in Gaza, PAS-backed Persatuan Ulama Malaysia (PUM) or Malaysian Muslim Scholars Association wants the relevant authorities to tighten up national security against the threat of Mossad (Israeli intelligence service) agents on a hiring spree of Malaysians.

Such was one of the resolutions reached at the Palestine-Israel Conflict Seminar organised by PUM over the weekend. The said seminar was held in view of the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.

Looking at the increasing number of war victims, violations of international law by Israel, restrictions on basic needs such as restrictions on access to the internet, water, oil and electricity, obstacles to delivering aid in the form of basic needs, the following 10 resolutions were reached at the PUM seminar:

  • Strongly condemning the inhumane actions of the Israeli government which always violates international law, thus causing the death and injury to civilians including women and children in Gaza
  • Urge the Israeli government to stop the uncivilised attacks on Gaza residents and to implement a ceasefire as soon as possible so that steps towards peace can be taken.
  • Urging the international community and world powers to stop all forms of support for Israeli terrorism and to take full responsibility to resolve the bloody conflict.
  • Suggesting that the relevant authorities take firm and continuous action against Mossad agents who are known to be recruiting a number of Malaysians for this is a threat to national security.
  • Urging all Arab countries, especially the four countries bordering Palestine, namely Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria to unite and cooperate collectively and effectively in helping rebuild Palestine from all aspects.
  • Recommending that the Malaysian government urges Arab and Muslim countries to reject any effort to normalise relations with the Israeli government and continue to strengthen support for the struggle of Palestinians to demand an independent Palestinian state.
  • Urging the Malaysian government to play a leading role in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) so that it can propel the body proactively towards the resolution of the bloody conflict in Palestine.
  • Demanding that the Israeli government and interested countries give full permission to external parties to channel humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
  • Offering the Malaysian government cooperation in raising awareness and educating the public about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the need for a peaceful solution. All parties are called to unite and play an active role in helping the Palestinians.
  • Fully support the fatwa on Sharia law issued by the Ijtihad and Fatwa Committee of the World Muslim Scholars Union which mandates military intervention in Muslim countries, especially as a peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip. – Nov 6, 2023
