AMANAH’s leadership committee members chaired their first meeting on Sunday (Jan 7) and unanimously decided the appointment of party posts, said its new secretary-general Muhammad Faiz Fadzil.
During the inaugural leadership meeting under the presidency of Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu today, two additional vice presidents were appointed, bringing the total number of vice presidents in Amanah to five.
The recently appointed vice presidents include former Pokok Sena MP Datuk Mahfuz Omar and Senator Datuk Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli.
“It has unanimously decided on the appointment of management positions including the pairing of experienced and young leaders among the 27 party central committee members,” said Faiz in a statement.
The recently appointed committee features Faiz as the secretary-general, Norhayati Bidin as the deputy secretary-general with Mohd Faizul Salleh and Ridzwan Abu Bakar serving as assistant secretaries. Abang Ahmad Kerdee Abang Masagus takes on the role of organising secretary, while Izham Hashim assumes the position of treasurer-general.
Moreover, Faiz stated that the former Shah Alam MP Khalid Abd Samad remains in the position of communications director while Pandan Indah assemblyman Izham Hashim is appointed as trust treasurer.
Previously, Amanah had designated three vice presidents specifically Kuala Selangor MP Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, former Selangor EXCO Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud and Alor Gajah MP Adly Zahari. – Jan 7, 2023
