PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has warned Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders and their cronies against dragging down the constitutional monarch institution with their “very evil and dirty political slander tactic”.
The Bersatu president further described allegation that the opposition coalition has bribed the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) with RM1 bil to bring down the unity government is an ugly, outrageous and outright nonsensical.
“This evil slander was also welcomed by several PH figures including those in government positions,” he lamented in a media statement. “Don’t slander others just to cover up your own weaknesses and failures.”

The Pagoh MP also expressed belief that those who made up and spread this slander has committed a serious offense under the Sedition Act 1948 and the Penal Code.
“A police report has been lodged by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin in his capacity as the Opposition leader and PN secretary-general so that those concerned will be investigated and strict action be taken,” he pointed out.
“Malaysia has certain provisions in the Federal Constitution that stipulate the legal methods and methods in the appointment of the Prime Minister (PM) and the formation of the government.”
Added Muhyiddin who was the country’s eighth PM: “The Federal Constitution allows a government to be formed either through elections or outside the realm of election when the PM resigns. This constitutional provision must be followed in the course of determining any formation or change of government.” – Jan 11, 2024
