MALAYSIA is set to host the first-ever Asian International Medical Technology Exhibition and Conference (Asian Medtec 2024) this December.

The announcement was made by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, who highlighted the event’s role in showcasing groundbreaking innovations and solidifying the country’s reputation as a preferred destination for medical device manufacturing and supply chain activities.

“It will also foster collaboration among key government agencies to cultivate a world-class ecosystem for medical technology within Malaysia,” stated Dr Dzulkefly after officiating the soft launch of Asian Medtec 2024 today.

Managed by the Medical Device Authority (MDA), Asian Medtec 2024 is poised to serve as a launchpad for cutting-edge advancements in medical technology.

Dr Dzulkefly also noted the event’s potential to foster collaboration among key government agencies, paving the way for the development of a world-class ecosystem for medical technology within Malaysia.
