SEMICON Southeast Asia (SEA), the region’s premier global electronics manufacturing and supply chain event, will return to its roots in Singapore in 2025 to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
With more than 18,000 delegates expected to attend from the region and around the world, SEMICON SEA has become a key platform for industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to connect, collaborate and drive innovation.
This special edition of the event will take place at Singapore’s Sands Expo & Convention Centre from May 20-22, 2025.
Themed Stronger Together, SEMICON SEA 2025 will feature insights into the latest industry developments, trends and innovations as well as critical areas including sustainability, artificial intelligence (AI), chiplet technology and workforce development.
Since 2015, SEMICON SEA has been hosted in Malaysia, contributing significantly to the growth and advancement of the semiconductor industry in the region.
The return to Singapore represents a home-coming to the heart of Southeast Asia’s semiconductor industry, a country renowned for its innovation and technological prowess.
This move also underscores the pivotal role Singapore plays in the global semiconductor ecosystem, particularly its dynamic business environment, strategic location, and robust infrastructure.
“We are thrilled to bring SEMICON Southeast Asia back to Singapore in 2025 for its 30th anniversary,” SEMI Southeast Asia president Linda Tan pointed out.
“Singapore’s dynamic semiconductor ecosystem – coupled with its strong support for innovation and technology – provides an ideal platform for industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to come together, exchange ideas and drive the future of semiconductor technology.”
According to Singapore Economic Development Board executive vice-president Cindy Koh, the semiconductor industry in Singapore has grown in sophistication and is today a key pillar of its economy by accounting for over 8% of the republic’s gross domestic product (GDP) and hiring more than 35,000 employees.
“We look forward to a successful SEMICON SEA 2025 to advance new business partnerships and strengthen industry connections from Singapore,” added Koh. – July 27, 2024
