23-YEAR-OLD Muhd Barur Rahim Hisam who was sentenced to a 10-year jail term today (Sept 26) for abusing several boys under his care at a welfare home and private Islamic school linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) has probably been subjected to a similar treatment during his childhood.
Netizens who reacted with furore to the action of the caretaker of a children’s home reckoned that he could be a child whose parents had ‘dumped’ him in similar situation, hence has been “brainwashed with deviant Islamic teaching” or unable to decipher right from wrong.

An observant commenter even noticed scars on Barur’s neck and the side of his face which could depict the abuse/torture that he was previously subjected to.
This came about as netizens tried to piece the jigsaw puzzle as to how parents of the 572 children and teenagers rescued from a charity home linked to GISBH have yet to come forward to claim their children as revealed by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
The parents are believed to be avoiding this to prevent the charity home being exposed as an orphanage to solicit donations when in fact the children are the offspring of members of the organisation which is a remnant of the banned deviant Islamic cult, Al-Arqam.
“Not to deny his guilt but he’s also a victim just like the victims. The adult culprit must who’s the root cause of all this should be subjected to twice the quantum of his (Barur’s) punishment,” asserted a commenter.
Earlier, the Klang Sessions Court judge Noridah Adam handed down the jail sentence on Barur after he pleaded guilty to four charges of using a cane and other forms of aggression to abuse three boys aged between 10 and 12 placed under his supervision.
