Bukit Bendera MP teaches netizens a lesson for bullying lady who fed a stray dog

HOW should we repay the kindness of a lady who fed a stray dog on the streets?

Shockingly for a religious country such as Malaysia, it is widespread condemnation from the internet community who have “undoubtedly” reached the pinnacle of spiritual awareness.

Netizens even suggested that people boycott the lady who happened to own a restaurant.

Fortunately we are able to regain some sanity points when Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid gave these keyboard warriors a much-needed schooling in a video post on X.

According to Syerleena, it is not haram to feed or offer aid to a dog, cat or even a pig.

However, she went on to advise these kind hearted souls that it is good practice to clean up the place after feeding the animal.

Syerleena further brought up a story where a prostitute was able to ascend to heaven for offering a drink to a dog.

The video post provided the much needed rally to bring the online community over to the side of the poor lady, with many praising the Bukit Bendera MP for speaking out.

Netizen StonerTalks said touching a dog was forbidden, but these people find it fine to take bribes, indulge in extramarital activities and such.

ManjitSingh G.S echoed her words, adding that one’s treatment towards animals is a reflection of his or her humanity.

One netizen, however, believed that the act of feeding stray dogs can be a problem as these animals may breed quickly, causing problems or spreading rabies.

To the faceless netizens who bullied and suggested to boycott the lady who was trying to make the world a better place, we only have this to say, “Go get a hobby.”

Said hobby could be something as innocuous as collecting stamps, learning a new language or better, volunteering at an animal shelter. —Nov 26, 2024
