Malaysian public is still civilised, no bashing up of 4 female robbers en route their escape

IMAGINE if the four women apprehended at a traffic light junction in Petaling Jaya recently were to be of the opposite gender, they would have already ended up with bruises and bloodied if not broken noses prior to be handed over to the police.

Probably, the four women could also thank their lucky stars that there were a plain cloth policeman and a policewoman in the vicinity to facilitate their arrest before any untoward incident or harm is inflicted on them.

Editor’s Note: The police has confirmed the arrest of the four women on suspicion of robbing a senior citizen in Seri Kembangan, Selangor on Nov 28.

Serdang district police chief assistant commissioner A. A. Anbalagan said they were arrested at a traffic light junction on Jalan Semangat, PJS 13, Petaling Jaya following investigations into the 11am incident.

He said the elderly woman was standing outside of her house when she was approached by three unknown women in a car with a fake registration number. The suspects had claimed to be offering loans and special assistance for the victim.

Their said arrest was shared in a minute-long clip by MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL (@MALAYSIAVIRALLL) on the X platform with a one-liner caption: “Four female robbers were hauled up in PJ (Petaling Jaya); didn’t have time to escape. Too much watching of Tamil movies.”

Whatever the case is, netizens had a field day poking fun at the four robber suspects who failed in their get-away for their “insufficient professional training”, “short-lived career” and” abidance of traffic law by stopping at the red light”.

As one thanked the plain cloth police officer in facilitating the smooth arrest of the four female robber suspects, one went out of his way to offer few tips on “staging a successful escape”.

In addition to Tamil movies as mentioned by the poster, a few netizens reckoned that the four female robber suspects could have “watched too much of the Ocean 8 movie”:
