MALAYSIANS are well familiar with the rivalry between us and our neighbour, dear Indonesia, and it is not just about football.
That being said, it is normal for netizens from both nations to take shots at each other, highlighting the foolishness of their citizens in videos or photos.
In a viral video post on X by MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL, an Indonesian convenience store is populated by customers who appear to be either sleeping on the floor or occupying it.
Food and drinks were also seen strewn on the ground. At the same time, the atmosphere was smoky, suggesting the consumption of cigarette or vape devices.
Macam mana eh indon boleh normalise kan keadaan macam ni. pic.twitter.com/LCaQpcwif3

Prompted by the video, MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL asked, “How is it that Indonesia is able to normalise something like this.” The Indonesian netizens are not amused.
Ricky explained that it was not normal as it involves a group of punk kids which the Indonesian community feels isn’t normal either. “Such people should be reprimanded,” Ricky added.
Ottoman stated that these people in the video moved in a group, and that no one dares to reprimand them due to their strength in numbers.
“It is the same with the Mat Rempits who ride on the road like the devil,” he said.
Then here is a cheeky comment from Zatyz who said if she was the staff there, she would have turned off the air conditioning to inconvenience the group, claiming it was spoiled.
Also, one netizen opened fire by calling Malaysian, Malaydesh, hinting at our relation with Bangladesh. A video has also been added in the comment section showcasing the foolishness of the Mat Rempits.
Aki claimed that he had been to Indonesia, and that such social disorder as portrayed by the video could not be found.
“Also, there they don’t have the mamak shops for them to loiter about while watching football,” said Aki. —Dec 20, 2024
